J. Crew Souvenirs

We just returned from our mini-vacation to Monterey. Since we have a thing for lighthouses, we stayed just a block away from Point Pinos lighthouse and listened to the ocean all night. The lighthouse really has nothing to do with this post, but I just liked this picture so - here ya go.A few days before our trip, my husband scooped up the latest J. Crew catalog. I flipped through it and found some lovely shirts and sweaters with chiffon trims. T-shirts, v-necks and cardigans, oh my!

While in Monterey, we passed a Goodwill. The thrifter in me does not rest, even on vacation. Dear H let me thrift 'til my heart's content. I immediately came upon this perfect little black t-shirt with chiffon trim - for only $3.25!

H left happy as well because I found him an actual J. Crew wool sweater for under $4.
Even though he's always warm, he's still a wool sweater kind of guy. Perfect for fishing, I suppose.

Good vacation. Good souvenirs.

I love people who thrift their vacation souvenirs! We just came back from a trip to Scottsdale, and my souvenir was the bag of lemons a lady who was having a yard sale gave me!

Glad you had a good time. I love your lighthouse picture. Looks like you had a great day. Sil was a very nice house guest while you were away.

Oh what fun!!! And what a great thrift store buy! I haven't found a good treasure like that in forever... You make me want to go thrifting so badly. I did go to Target today, however, I didn't really find any amazing bargains.

I love lighthouses too!! I'll bet it was a beautiful lighthouse :O)

Have fun!!

Love your blog! I went to the Acorn Pudding site and ordered a Twilight Headband for Catlin. Don't be alarmed when you see Jeff's name on the order. (Paypal account) He is not a cross dresser. (hehehehe) If you are every out and about and see a 50's Art Deco table cloth, I would buy that from your lovely store too! ;)

I'm so glad you guys had a great vacation and WHAT A BONUS to find fun thrifting treats too! Those are the best kind of souvenires (I love your shirt by the way).

I always wanted to be on a jury! I'm so glad the drunk chick was convicted (especially if she has a prior conviction); there's just NEVER an excuse to endanger other's lives like that... GO DIANE! Way to do your civic duty! And it's so nice to come home and realize that there really IS no place like home with your sweet little blue-eyed darling smiling at you!
