This playhouse probably just barely qualifies for VTT. It's from 1983. (I know, that doesn't seem vintage, does it?) As a child, my husband lived in Germany for a few years. Just returning to the states, his parents bought this german toy playhouse. It remained in mint condition, in an unopened box, until about 2 months ago. My IL's had forgotten they still had it and brought the playhouse, er, bavarian pub, out of storage for their granddaughter. The pub has a lower level and an upper hall complete with mugs, dishware and a dog. Let's not forget the prince (with removable crown and shoes,) the cleaning woman and the feather-capped fiddler. The charm of the building and the folksy figures tempts me to play again. I can hear the polka music now... it sounds like they're about to do the chicken dance.
Special thanks to my FIL for taking these pix the night before leaving for vacation.

How great that the pub/playhouse gets to come out of the box and finally be played with! I hate to think of 1983 as vintage, but it might be to some people!
Ohhh how precious...not quite vintage but I don't mind lol!! xx
This is so cute. I can not believe it was not played with at all. I think it is so charming. I really like playhouses with little people. This one has a dog!!!!! What a find.
Um, 1983 was two years after I got out of high school. Now I feel really old. That house is adorable. The people look like Fisher Price dolls grown up.
I love that you wrote about the playhouse! I love it so much and I have to say that my dad would not let us touch that thing, no matter how much we BEGGED, through my whole childhood! Either my dad is a totally changed man or he must be putty in Charlotte's hands!
The playhouse is so wonderful. Isn't it funny how grandchildren are allowed to play with things the kids weren't allowed to touch. As we get older, we get smarter. Yea!
Oh this is so great! I really like it...and a pub! How unique is that?
:0)
What an AWESOME toy! Gage would be ALL OVER that! How fun, and I'm sure Charlotte will love it more and more as her imagination keeps growing right along with her little body!
How fun! Is it a Playmobil playhouse?
Oh I LOVE it! It's so cute.
Thanks for sharing! I need to go antiquing again!
This is so cute. I love the Bavarian style.
How lovely! My mum is Austrian, and it reminds me of the cuckoo clocks I grew up with. My dad built a dolls house for me, which was a treasured possession when I was a little girl. Hope your daughter and her friends have many happy hours of playing!
I need a dollhouse! This is so cute!
How neat! The figures look like Playmobil...I have a nativity set from Germany with similar figurines.
Love it.
My husband grew up in Germany as an Army brat. Unfortunately, his parents didn't buy anything cute like that. Just tons and tons of steins. :-(
Oh my, what a treasure! I love it! I know the grandbaby must love it too. The part about putty. . .I know it's true!
I love the "vintage" doll house! What a treasure.
How cool is that! And in perfect condition!
That is so AWESOME! I want one.
Oh, this playhouse is amazing--something my girls and even my BOYS would love to play with!
