Even though most of my time is spent lying down in bed... In the last couple of weeks, my husband and I have put our house on the market, held an open house, accepted an offer, held a moving sale, started packing boxes and celebrated our
Here we are saying our "I do's" 5 years ago. Just thinking about this moment makes me feel the same overwhelming joy that I felt that day. (H, you really are the best!)
Over our anniversary dinner/picnic, we talked about how we would never have thought we'd have (nearly) two children, be selling our house and moving out of state (say it like George H.W. Bush here) at this juncture. We may feel a little overwhelmed, but we're happy.
We've also decided to forego being apart in December. We're all making the trek up to Seattle together. We'll be on the road December 10th. The countdown has begun...

Oh, girl. I'm right there with you about the Breathe Right strip. I feel like I lived in those things during my last 2 months of pregnancy!
Happy anniversary!! You look awesome - I'm so jealous of your skinny legs. By this time in my pregnancy my legs were swollen to the size of tree trunks.
Thanks for the update! Congrats on selling your house and I hope to get to meet you soon! I'll keep you and baby boy in my prayers for a safe & healthy delivery!
Well my, my. You have had a busy few weeks! It's so hard to believe that big babies can come out of such petite women. My grandmother and my closest friend were not only skinny, but short as well, and neither one of them had a baby less than 8 lbs. My grandmother had a 12 lbs baby. Of course that was back in the days where they didn't know to test for gestational diabetes. I'm sure they would have changed her diet and scheduled a c-section before her due date if they had known.
You look absolutely wonderful though. I'm happy that the Lord has worked out the selling of your house, and I pray that everything would go as safely and smoothly as possible for you all as you welcome a new family member and move up North!
I'm so happy that this pregnancy is coming to an end soon. Have you still been really sick this late in the pregnancy?
Good luck with your move and the baby. We'll be thinking about you.
Wow!
I see excitement in your near future. Enjoy it!
What an exciting time for your family! Congratulations on your 5th wedding anniversary!!!
Overwhelming and for some of us sad that you will be leaving us behind. But congratulations on all counts.
What a cute post! I love the wedding photo; that is very sweet. It's fun to look back at the beginning when you celebrate those milestone anniversaries!
Life really is crazy for your family right now, but I still believe that the rocky moments in life are the ones that cement you together. This new adventure may seem stressful and/or scary now, but once you're safely settled into your new routine in Seattle, you'll feel so much peace and contentment and gratitude and love. And when you've successfully navigated through a major life change, you realize that together, you can do anything!
I wish you the best of luck in this exciting new chapter of your lives, and also offer a sincere congratulations on your first 5 years of marriage, your adorable little Charlotte, the exciting new move to Seattle, and ESPECIALLY on your sweet new bundle of joy born just yesterday!
We're wishing all four of you the very best, Diane! Good luck, and Congratulations again! :) We'll be looking forward to posts from Seattle in January!!!
