Congrats To Katie Jean!

My sweet friend, Katie Jean, contributed some of her crafty ways to this new book. For those of you looking to be crafty with linens, this is the book for you! My own stockpile of pillowcases shows my intentions to put this book to good use. Besides, can a little girl reeeally have too many pillowcase dresses??

Katie Jean makes adorable vintage style girls clothing and organic baby accessories. She's mean with a sewing machine! Be sure to stop by Katie's blog as well, she's giving away a copy of the book.

Congratulations, Katie!

I am way behind on blogging again, so I'm apologizing in advance for another novel-length comment!

The pillowcase sundresses are adorable, and CONGRATS to your friend Katie Jean on her contributions to the book... how exciting. Wow, I could really use some validation in my own life like that... WAY TO GO KATIE JEAN!!!

Also, I LOVE the apron! How sweet of Chris to remember what you wanted and get it for you later; yes, he is definitely a keeper! Jon did that for me once while we were dating. We'd been in an art gallery and I was really fascinated with a certain painting because of the colors, the scene, but mostly the symbolism that I related with in my own life (my dichotomy of being both scientist and Christian: they seem to be mutually exclusive identities, but in this painting, but both serve a necessary role)... It was just under $300, and way out of my price range as a college student. I left the gallery thinking I would never see the painting again, but then a few months later on my 23rd birthday, there it appeared in my living room! I was so touched that Jon would go back later for something that was so expensive and completely frivolous, but that he knew I would love... I still think about it whenever I pause to look at the painting. I'm a hopeless romantic, so those types of gestures win me over every time! I'm so glad you had a great V-day and now your version of my "painting" (in the form of an apron) to remind you how much your hubby loves you...

Lastly, Ivan is awesome! How clever to use that shirt; it gives Ivan the finishing masculine touch, and the scarf adds such character and color... Once again, WELL DONE Diane.

I can only imagine the kinds of scrapbooking pages you'd create...!

Thank you for your comment you left on my blog this weekend! It is always nice to hear such wonderful words of encouragement! I hope you and your darling are having a wonderful Monday together!
