Baby Update - 12 Weeks

Hello, and yes, I'm still here. I've been sick and decided to not give you a play-by-play of how things are going. I've been very unproductive and so I have nothing to post in the way of craftiness, recipes, etc. My menu lately has consisted of Cinnamon Life cereal three times a day and mango-flavored coconut water - to stay hydrated. This is not a diet I recommend, if you can help it.

Baby is 12 weeks now and growing strong. Of course, Baby is also big for this stage of development. My husband and I are not surprised because we just grow gi-nor-mous babies. (Our first baby was 9 lbs 11 oz despite my not being able to eat any food for nearly the first half of my pregnancy.) We are both 5'5" or less in height. But our 2 1/2 year old daughter wears a 4t. I'll probably be wearing her hand-me-downs before long.

The ultrasound tech was kind enough to give us a 3D pic of the baby "just for fun". Wow!
Bad news: I feel like I've been pregnant for 9 years. Good news: Baby is healthy!

    What a great photo! Did they give you any indication on gender or are you guys planning to wait until birth? My u/s tech told me "girl" at my 12w4d ultrasound appointment and she was right! :)

    I hope you feel better soon - at least you're past the first trimester!

    Oh Diane,

    I'm glad that you are hanging in there. And I'm even happier that your little baby is growing so BIG and strong :O)

    I think it is great that your little one is so tall!! We grow tall babies in my family... Though my little girl is only in a 3T... She and C could so be good TALL friends!!

    Just to ease your mind a bit... I have a soon to be 8 year old niece that is wearing size 14 in Juniors. yep that's right she looks to be the size of a teenagers but with the wild passion and energy of a second grader!!

    I think of you often and miss you in blogland!

    I think the images are great. I do hope you are doing well, too. I do think H is a little over 5'5" as he is taller than I am, and I used to be 5'5 1/2". Wait, am I shrinking?

    Oh Diane, I'm so glad you are still alive and that the baby is growing so well, despite your diet of Cinnamon Life and coconut water!!! I know, I always felt like everyone else's pregnancies flew by, while mine dragged on and on... hang in there, you'll have your beautiful new addition sooner than you think!
